Многумина сакаат да го политизираат и овој проект тврдејќи дека со споменикот на Филип Втори наводно ќе сме ги налутеле соседите?
В.Т.:
Мислам дека “обврска” на опозицијата е да ги политизира сите наши проекти. Но сметам дека нема место за никаква загриженост, затоа што право е на секој град какви споменици ќе гради. Ние како локална самоуправа имаме обврска да ги испочитувавме сите процедури за изградбата на споменикот на Филип Втори и истиот на задоволство на граѓаните на Битола ќе го завршиме. На Филип Втори како прв градоначалник на Хераклеја ние тоа му го должевме. Со цел респект кон минатото, но јас сум човек кој постојано гледа во иднината. Затоа мислам дека нашата девиза треба да биде тоа што го направивме да знаеме да го сочуваме и својата енергија да ја насочиме кон изградба на други проекти и други работи со кои животот ќе си го направиме поубав и посреќен.
Што е она што Ве воодушевува во Битола?
В.Т.:
Во Битола прво сум им многу благодарен на граѓаните што ни ја даваат поддршката во она што го правиме. Тоа многу ме радува и ми дава уште поголем мотив за работа. Поддршката ја чувствувам во секојдневните средби, често граѓаните знаат да не пофалат за она што го правиме, дел ми пишуваат писма. Јас сум отворен за сите. Во оваа прилика сакам да нагласам дека поради недостаток на време не сме биле во можност да им излеземе во пресрет во оние денови кога тие инсистираат. Но, на отворените средби што ги имаме со граѓаните се трудиме да ги слушнеме нивните идеи, предлози, размислувања за подобра и поубава Битола. Нивните размислувања и сугестии се секогаш добродојдени за нас. Во секоја средба ги примам и пофалбите и забелешките и критиките кои доаѓаат од нив. За наша голема среќа пофалбите за нашиот ангажман се во поголем број.
Битола се повеќе се афирмира како дипломатски центар?
В.Т.:
Токму така. Битола се повеќе се афирмира и на дипломатски план. Се отвораат нови почесни конзулати. Денес можеме да се пофалиме дека во Битола има рекорден број од 11 конзуларни претставништва. Јас мислам дека Битола се повеќе се промовира и како дипломатски центар. За тоа зборуваат се почестите посети на разни дипломати, амбасадори на нашиот град. Во изминатиот период Битола ја посетија поголем број делегации. Имаше делегација од Плевен, Бугарија, Риека, Хрватска. Деновиве со одлука на словенечката влада Почесниот словенечки конзулат беше промовиран во почесен генерален конзулат што е само уште една потврда дека Битола станува дипломатски центар.
Што е тоа што ве направи несреќен во ова година?
В.Т.:
Морам да кажам дека деновиве многу ме погоди веста од Измир, Турција дека почина нашиот прв почесен граѓанин на Битола, Ајри Демировски. Иако бев свесен дека поради болеста крајот се ближи, сепак, верував дека ќе поживее уште. Но тој само физички се оддели од нас. Остана вечно да живее со нас и во нас. В.Т.:
